[A weekend of lost memories - it sat poorly with her, especially when she went back over her notes and found them missing as well. The dates for the weekend were written in her hand, but anything she'd written had been erased. Or maybe she hadn't written anything. The most concerning thing was that now that the weekend had ended, several people had gone missing or returned. Two days was a long time to lose her bearings and it made her restless. Which was why she'd gone to the shop to look around for anything useful.

Last thing she expected was to find the glove and eyeglass set - something so useful just left here like it was a new toy to be experimented with by anyone in the village. Something about it drew her to using it, but after the first day and the headaches, she realized it was probably something that belonged to someone. Which is why a few days later, after the headaches settle, she asks the village.]

Agent Carter reporting in with a few questions for the village.

One: Has anyone lost a pair of these? [She holds up the sunglasses, labeled ARI on the side to the camera.] I located them in the shop - interesting technology you have. I'd like to return them, if you're inclined to receive them.

[It packs one hell of a punch anyway, and she does not want that anymore. Peggy rubs her temple as he sets the glasses down out of view.]

Two: Sparring partners - hand to hand combat, preferably advanced non-magic practitioners. Willing to train people new to it, but more looking for practice myself. Can also train or spar in weapons - guns or knives specifically.

Three: On a more personal note, to my roommates - if you don't start cleaning your areas and picking up your things, I will do it for you.

[She looks straight into the camera with her usual no-nonsense look in her eyes.]

You will not enjoy it if I am forced to do so.

Intend? No. But one never knows what will happen once a fight starts, even one made for play.

[Besides, what good is a spar if someone doesn't walk away with bruises at the very least? She's getting older, needs to keep her skills refined, and like hell if she's going to go easy on someone and jeopardize that.]

It's kept me alive this long. Do you consider that a problem?

Breathing isn't the only condition of being alive, you know. It might do you some good to make allies here; ones that don't wait for you to stab them from behind. Just an observation, of course.

Breathing is a good start, however.

It is a shame to be utterly alone. [He is just fine with Peggy thinking he has absolutely no allies and no one who trusts him. Because if Peggy thinks so, it seems likely Steve will think so as well, and that's very in his interest.] But ever has that been so, yes?

Though how interesting that you've taken such concern in my wellbeing. Have you hit your head recently?

Recently? No. But imminently? More than likely.

And I wouldn't call you alone here, Loki, but I also wouldn't say you have allies in abundance either.

Imminently? Perhaps you ought to search out a helmet.

If I have few friends, lady, it is to your lover I should send my thanks.

If I haven't lost my skill, it'll be the others who need helmets, not me.

...And you can't blame him. I heard from the others what happened and you'll have to pardon him for holding a little bit of a grudge after what...transpired.

I never thought you the sort who would lose a skill, so no doubt you'll do well.

Then should you not be pleased that he has taken it upon himself to warn off the unfortunate souls who would otherwise befriend such a viscious and wicked monster as myself?

Or is this your elaborate way of rubbing my nose in my isolation whilst sounding sweetly concerned?

I'm honoured you'd think so highly of me, but training is always necessary. And it's better to shoot at fake targets than real ones, don't you think? Less mess.

As for you and Steve - that's something you should work out between the two of you. If your brother can forgive, then maybe with a little work on both of your parts, things needn't be forever hostile.

I was rather strongly trained to accept the competence of ladies. You lot don't tend to brag quite so much.

Why would you care? [Since being subtle about it hasn't woirked.]

Mostly because we get tired of hearing men do it so often.

As for why I care? You act as though I should loathe you instinctively when my only interaction with you has been here, in this bedlam of a village. Or are you saying I should and cut you off from another woman who won't brag or berate you?

[...now that is a curious thing indeed. Though Loki would argue that she doesn't know him at all. He isn't an easy person to know even when he's on friendly terms with someone. It's by design.

[Though he knows enough about Peggy now to be very suspicious. Jane had inserted himself into his life with the very unsubtle goal of spying on him. He wouldn't be surprised if Peggy is playing a similar angle, but is much, much better at it.

Still that could be useful. He needs to perpetuate the story of his death.]

Only if they let me bring my firearm, I suspect.

[Because what she's heard of Asgard, it's pretty much a given that she'd need to display her strength and force people to respect her. ....Which isn't a whole lot different from what she had to do here or even back in New York.]

It's more than a little spat and part of the reason he doesn't like you might have to do with how you make light of what you did. But, as I said, I don't know you, so I can't just assume from what I've heard despite their sources. Information needs to be corroborated before it can be believed.

Bring what you like. I'd find it very amusing. [One corner of his lips quirks up.] Were I alive for it. But one can always dream.

[He rests his chin on one hand.]

Ah, but you see, Lady Carter. On the scale I play the game, it was but a spat. And it is not in my nature to be serious about most things. I shall never manage the level of gravitas Steve would find suitable, I think.

[Because he really, really does not give a fuck about much of anything. But no need to voice that.]

[...That was something she hadn't heard from either Steve or Thor. She'd thought Loki had survived the Battle of New York and had returned to Asgard as a prisoner - supposedly for life. If he'd been executed, Thor would have been acting very differently - unless he didn't know, of course. Suddenly, Peggy found herself cursing the lack of people from the future for an entirely different reason.]

I'm sorry to hear that. Then again, if you brought me over from a time when I was alive, I'm certain we could work something out.

Unlike you and Steve, apparently. You could at least try not to goad him to anger over it. If it came down to a fight, I'm afraid I'd have to take his side.

Oh, you didn't know? I got myself well stabbed on Svartalfheim, protecting Thor and Jane. Dead in the glorious stupidity of battle. [He smiles thinly.] And ended up here instead of Valhalla. Aren't we all lucky?

But Lady Carter. He's so cute when he's angry. He does this thing with his eyebrows and looks a bit like an angry bunny rabbit. I really can't resist.

[Wow, he was...open about that. Peggy stared at the video for a moment, then cleared her throat.] He hadn't mentioned anything of the sort, but at least you have another chance here.

[And that aside, Peggy sighs.]

May I at least request that you try? I'd really rather not have to shoot at you.
