[A weekend of lost memories - it sat poorly with her, especially when she went back over her notes and found them missing as well. The dates for the weekend were written in her hand, but anything she'd written had been erased. Or maybe she hadn't written anything. The most concerning thing was that now that the weekend had ended, several people had gone missing or returned. Two days was a long time to lose her bearings and it made her restless. Which was why she'd gone to the shop to look around for anything useful.

Last thing she expected was to find the glove and eyeglass set - something so useful just left here like it was a new toy to be experimented with by anyone in the village. Something about it drew her to using it, but after the first day and the headaches, she realized it was probably something that belonged to someone. Which is why a few days later, after the headaches settle, she asks the village.]

Agent Carter reporting in with a few questions for the village.

One: Has anyone lost a pair of these? [She holds up the sunglasses, labeled ARI on the side to the camera.] I located them in the shop - interesting technology you have. I'd like to return them, if you're inclined to receive them.

[It packs one hell of a punch anyway, and she does not want that anymore. Peggy rubs her temple as he sets the glasses down out of view.]

Two: Sparring partners - hand to hand combat, preferably advanced non-magic practitioners. Willing to train people new to it, but more looking for practice myself. Can also train or spar in weapons - guns or knives specifically.

Three: On a more personal note, to my roommates - if you don't start cleaning your areas and picking up your things, I will do it for you.

[She looks straight into the camera with her usual no-nonsense look in her eyes.]

You will not enjoy it if I am forced to do so.

Are you sure you should be building up a tolerance to such a thing?

[It really didn't seem safe at all.]

[Mercenary then, that explained a lot. Peggy nodded her head in understanding.]

I can see why you wanted to spar - it's good to get in training against a thinking opponent, rather than the shadows of the simulation room. If you're interested in doing this again, I'd be willing.

I...don't have much experience with monsters - beyond those the Third Party employs, I'm afraid.

The sort of complicated I should know about now that we're under one roof, or the sort of complicated that you promised him you wouldn't tell anyone?

Breathing isn't the only condition of being alive, you know. It might do you some good to make allies here; ones that don't wait for you to stab them from behind. Just an observation, of course.

[Compensate for the difference in height from the paper target to the dummy and the weight of the axe. Peggy knows how long it took her to get it all right, and she'd rather see her experience serve someone else faster. She strides forward and digs the axe out with one hand, the other holding the dummy steady, then walks back to Levi, handing it to him.]

The loose tongues are easy enough to eavesdrop on with the journals. It's surprising how little people lock away when they're talking.

[A break? Peggy raised an eyebrow, but obliged, lowering her fists but not her guard. It wouldn't do to be lulled into a false sense of security only to be taken off her feet by a sudden rush.]

I put a call out and I received an answer. I prefer to be busy than idle, don't you?

Breathing is a good start, however.

It is a shame to be utterly alone. [He is just fine with Peggy thinking he has absolutely no allies and no one who trusts him. Because if Peggy thinks so, it seems likely Steve will think so as well, and that's very in his interest.] But ever has that been so, yes?

Though how interesting that you've taken such concern in my wellbeing. Have you hit your head recently?

[It isn't in the slightest.]

I signed on for the ARI program, so it's part of my job.

He is an honorable man, a just warrior- and a kind soul.

[The former traits that Asgardians held in high esteem- the last something Thor has come to admire in his Midgardian companions. That though they be honed at a sharper edge due to a rougher life, there is a kindness, a sense of justice deep within all of them, bundled in steel and blood and bone. He will never tire of their capabilities.]

She would find that agreeable, were she here. And I would be honored to share such a drink with you.

[he tries it her way this time, and it lands in the throat. He drops his arm, stares at the dummy a moment and considers how placated so many people had become after a hundred years free of the terror of titans in their midst.]

[Hence to offer to teach people the other day. He knew the benefits of training, but also the problems that can be caused by doing too much of it. Training wasn't everything in life.]

[An agreeable nod as Ginia gets to her feet, offering a hand to Peggy to help her up. They're well-matched too in size and weight. Sometimes it's nice being able to match up your skills with someone your size.]

Eh, there's fancy about Monsters. Learn their weaknesses and their down without too much trouble. Messy work though.

Is that interesting? [He tweaks his glasses.] I presumed that most people conclude their inquiries once they've asked all that they intend to. I've heard everything that's relative to my curiosities, so there's no reason for me to press further. Unless of course you're lying, but even in that case it would be far too much effort than I feel like trying to pry the truth.

And you intend to continue your job here, I suspect?

[Which means using that crazy machine, and thus Peggy is forever concerned that Norman is going to go insane and start flipping out at people.]

At least in some respects. I... doubt the FBI has much presence here, but I can make use of those skills where I can, I hope.

[Though what really matters to him right now is securing ARI. Knowing he has his glasses back.]

[Normally, she wouldn't take a hand offered to her. She was perfectly capable of getting up on her own, after all. However, this was ally-building and sometimes a simple offered hand taken was enough to cement a relationship.

Peggy reached up and pulled herself to her feet.]

Hope to see you again soon then. I'm afraid I need to freshen up and keep my second appointment - returning a briefcase to a certain interested party.

Isn't taking anyone down always messy work? [She remembers beating someone nearly to death with a makeshift beatstick. That was messy.]

Well, I can't very well do my job here, so training and preparing myself for the next time we all get drafted is the next best option.

I take it you have experience with such a thing?

[Time to go retrieve the axes again. She pulls each one out, puts them in their holsters at her side and then reaches up to untie the ruined dummies.]

Can you bring me the other two? Just there, leaned up against the building.

It is, yes. [This man is hiding things - he's asking questions, but no folllow-ups that would normally come with an inquiry like his. He either has the information he needs, was asking after someone specifically, or was just baiting her to see how much information she had.]

But I suppose if you haven't any interest in further information, then we've concluded what we had to say.

Well, it wouldn't be very becoming of me to leave you bruised up on the floor, now would it?
