File #001 audio;
[She's been in Luceti for a day now. A day was more than enough time for the wings to stop hurting, the shock to wear off, and for her to find her old uniform and dress a little less like a girl on her way to primary school in the summer. A day was long enough to learn that this place wasn't entirely hostile and that it was extensive, reaching from the beach to the mountains and out until she hit an invisible wall that seemed to cut her off from whatever lay beyond it.
A day was also long enough to realize she was stuck and that the book was a method of communicating with others. People seemed to talk freely over it and she wasn't the only one arriving either. Captain Nathan Spencer, Peter Parker, Eugene, Sue Richards, Noel Vermillion - names that meant nothing to her, but it indicated that people came and went here according to someone else's agenda.
It hadn't taken her long to find the Guide, either, and after skimming through it, she felt a bit more...well, level was probably the best way to describe it. She's taken to hiding out in the woods for now, waiting to assess the situation before she moved into town. Now there was just one problem that remained: revealing herself to the enclosure and to possibly hostile elements. ]
As I'm not the only person to recently arrive to this place and I'm sure you are all quite tired of repeating the same welcome speeches, let me introduce myself and be brief about it.
Agent Carter, British Royal Military.
Any information not to be found in the guide already so helpfully provided would be appreciated.

Got a little more than we bargained for I think. There was a disease, drove people to attack mindlessly before they died.
[Voice]
It seems war never changes then, even so far from home.
[Voice]
I'm fairly sure war will never change, maybe the weapons and the tactics, but not the general methods. Although where I'm from they generally only take volunteers.
[Voice]
I see. A rather brutish way to pass on an infection.
Where I'm from we took both, but volunteers were never difficult to find.
[Voice]
Where you're from? I could be mistaken but I don't think Britain has compulsory military service anymore.
[Voice]
A year or two prior we brought it back.
[Voice]
[That gives him pause and it isn't as though he keeps up with what the British military does, but he likes to know the basics.]
Wait, this may be strange but, what year is it for you?
[Voice]
[Ah, years. The Guide mentioned something about this, but it still seems so strange to think that anyone else here isn't from her time or even her world.]
1949. You?
[Voice]
[He sucks in a soft breath at the year, another piece of the puzzle, a suspicion, but he won't make a decision, not without more intel.]
2012.
[Voice]
[Wow, and speaking of time. 2012. Good lord, how old would she even be if she survived that long?]
...Well, speak of the devil and there he comes. I heard time was relative here. [But that? ...just wow.]
[Voice]
[He can understand her surprise. The others have only got a couple of weeks on him and that's strange enough.]
Very relative. A lot has changed in the world, Agent Carter.
[Voice]
Thank God for the medics and scientists.
[A sigh - nostalgia or memory or something akin to that is mixed into that soft breath, but it's left unspoken.]
That would depend upon whether our worlds are the same, Mr....?
[Voice]
[And now here's a moment of truth, perhaps.]
Agent. Agent Clint Barton. I work for an organisation called SHIELD. The Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division.
It was founded by certain individuals who were involved in an organisation during World War Two. The Strategic Scientific Reserve.
[Voice] Filter Strength: Medium
Her response will take a few minutes to come, but when it does, it comes on a filter specifically to him.]
Agent Barton. If you know of the SSR, would it be presumptuous of me to assume you know of me?
[Voice] Filter Strength: Medium
I had my suspicions. Didn't want to make assumptions before I had enough information.
Agent Margaret Carter of the SSR. One of the founders of SHIELD.
[Voice] Filter Strength: Medium
I prefer Peggy for those who know me well enough, Agent Carter for those that don't.
[Voice] Filter Strength: Medium
[And maybe that would give her enough to chew on to keep her occupied.]
Right. I just know what I've read in the files SHIELD has. Agent Carter it is.
[Voice] Filter Strength: Medium
[But he was-- He was just-- She has to think about that for a moment. At least she isn't alone then.
...And Barnes, too. She just talked to him awhile ago. She can tell this place is going to give her a headache.]
...Of course, he's here. Yes, I see. Thank you for the roster update, Agent Barton.
[Voice] Filter Strength: Medium
[He pauses for a moment thoughtfully and then decides that she'll probably find out about Tony on her own. Or from Howard. Better them than a stranger.]
My pleasure. If there's anything I can help with, don't hesitate to ask.
[Voice] Filter Strength: Medium
...But it isn't right to pry into the future, no matter how much she wants to know. Best to stick to the impersonal basics.]
I've heard there is a depot to retrieve weapons, but no ammunitions to back it up. Any clues on how to go about procuring that?
[Voice] Filter Strength: Medium
Ammunition comes up sometimes in the item shop. Otherwise, you can earn points from doing missions for the Malnosso. You can use those points to buy ammo you need. If you're just wanting to keep up with marksmanship, you're as well using the computers in the Battle Dome to simulate whatever weapon you need rather than using your own ammo.
Otherwise, might want to pick up a weapon that doesn't use ammo.
[Voice] Filter Strength: Medium
Missions, is it? I heard a small bit about them, but not enough. Care to elaborate?
[Voice] Filter Strength: Medium
I haven't been on any myself, although I was intending to before the draft came up. Could be anything. Combat, recon, research. Retrieving items and information. Being a test subject. There's a lot of things depending on your individual skills.
[Voice] Filter Strength: Medium
Something we're well suited to then, I see.
[Because yeah, she's totally going on a mission now. Screw the Malnosso but if this is the only way to get what she needs and hopefully get her out, she'll do it.]
Unless skills in SHIELD run a little different from my time.
[Voice] Filter Strength: Medium
SHIELD Agents have a lot of skills. We have a pretty wide mandate. Scientific research, counter-terrorism, managing threats, espionage.
