[She's been in Luceti for a day now. A day was more than enough time for the wings to stop hurting, the shock to wear off, and for her to find her old uniform and dress a little less like a girl on her way to primary school in the summer. A day was long enough to learn that this place wasn't entirely hostile and that it was extensive, reaching from the beach to the mountains and out until she hit an invisible wall that seemed to cut her off from whatever lay beyond it.

A day was also long enough to realize she was stuck and that the book was a method of communicating with others. People seemed to talk freely over it and she wasn't the only one arriving either. Captain Nathan Spencer, Peter Parker, Eugene, Sue Richards, Noel Vermillion - names that meant nothing to her, but it indicated that people came and went here according to someone else's agenda.

It hadn't taken her long to find the Guide, either, and after skimming through it, she felt a bit more...well, level was probably the best way to describe it. She's taken to hiding out in the woods for now, waiting to assess the situation before she moved into town. Now there was just one problem that remained: revealing herself to the enclosure and to possibly hostile elements. ]

As I'm not the only person to recently arrive to this place and I'm sure you are all quite tired of repeating the same welcome speeches, let me introduce myself and be brief about it.

Agent Carter, British Royal Military.

Any information not to be found in the guide already so helpfully provided would be appreciated.

I'm not sure how much there is to say outside of the guide, Agent Carter. Did you have any specific questions?

[Normally it'd be great to see Peggy, despite the circumstances. Now... well it's still good to see her. Steve will be thrilled when he gets back in two days, however that works around here. There's just that whole can of worms labeled 'Draft' to deal with... sometime. And that thing where she probably thinks he's dead. Seems like it's just going around.

He puts on his usual smirk and goes right for it.]

That is rather a broad question. You probably ought to limit it down a bit.

There is always something to be said that isn't officially written down as I've learned. Tips and advice on how to adjust to life, for example. How better to sleep when wings seem to get in the way, for another.

[Impossible. She signed off on his MIA reports, saw the pain that Steve went through when he disappeared, and knew that James "Bucky" Barnes was gone.

Impossible, except for the fact that she was back in military drab and sporting wings to match.

Not sure exactly what you're looking for, Agent, but I can say people are still a bit shaken up after the Draft last week. We lost some good people.

[The mishmash of communication styles is something that Jack is still getting used to, but he always goes through the audio dispatches first. Maybe it's a little nostalgia for home - that's certainly what accounts for the broad smile that spreads across his face when he hears Agent Carter's voice. His first day has been predominated by people of indeterminate origin and Americans, and it's nice to hear something a little reminiscent of home. Even if he left home in less than the best of states.]

Sorry to say I'm new as well, so I haven't gathered much, Agent. But whatever they want you to do here to pay for your food and shelter, they don't mention it on the first day.

That and, well, they didn't turn away a man with one leg. Generally a mark of good character, kindness, those sorts of things.
