[She's been in Luceti for a day now. A day was more than enough time for the wings to stop hurting, the shock to wear off, and for her to find her old uniform and dress a little less like a girl on her way to primary school in the summer. A day was long enough to learn that this place wasn't entirely hostile and that it was extensive, reaching from the beach to the mountains and out until she hit an invisible wall that seemed to cut her off from whatever lay beyond it.

A day was also long enough to realize she was stuck and that the book was a method of communicating with others. People seemed to talk freely over it and she wasn't the only one arriving either. Captain Nathan Spencer, Peter Parker, Eugene, Sue Richards, Noel Vermillion - names that meant nothing to her, but it indicated that people came and went here according to someone else's agenda.

It hadn't taken her long to find the Guide, either, and after skimming through it, she felt a bit more...well, level was probably the best way to describe it. She's taken to hiding out in the woods for now, waiting to assess the situation before she moved into town. Now there was just one problem that remained: revealing herself to the enclosure and to possibly hostile elements. ]

As I'm not the only person to recently arrive to this place and I'm sure you are all quite tired of repeating the same welcome speeches, let me introduce myself and be brief about it.

You should join the art club!

The art club is pretty new - we've had two meetings so far, and we have a meeting every month! - 'cause Rapunzel and I only juuuuuuuust founded it. But the other clubs - there's Brave Vesperia, and they...do things like build stuff for people [ uh. she's not totally sure actually, she's just vaguely aware of them 8| ] and then the SOS Brigaide, who do things like run the raffle they just did with prizes and also they run the Hydra Social Project, which is a huuuuuuge pen pal project which you should also join because it's a GREAT way to meet people! Oh and they have a dragon for dragon rides!!! And I think there's one other one with a lot of letters that's also military-like and stuff but I didn't pay too much attention to that one because it didn't sound like they were doing things I'd be able to do.

Other things you can do is go to school if you want, or teach at school if you talk to Sifu Raine, or maybe work someplace like the bakery or Seventh Heaven if they're hiring, so there's always lots to do and keeping busy is the key to a happy life!!!

[And very talkative...! But Carter doesn't mind. Children will always have at least a little bit of a soft spot in her heart.

Even if 90% of what Ikki says just went right over her head and into the "will think about later because what even is having a dragon for dragon rides???" bin. Because what. Dragons?]

Better not to pay attention the military things just yet. Thank you for telling me about the clubs and places to work - it seems you do quite a bit to keep busy, hm?

What kind of art do you do?

Oh, yep! It'd be really boring otherwise, y'know? [ And...sad. Since you'd have time to think about, oh, the family not here. ]

Lots! Last time we made club badges, but this month we're doing something about the Earth holiday Thanksgiving! And we're also going to announce that we're accepting art for the calendar, annnnnnnnd there's going to be an extra meeting this month 'cause we're helping make decorations for the Christmas dance!

The world with the bending. [ ...It doesn't have a fancy name. ] I mean that all the worlds with that holiday are the "Earth" ones with the places called Japan and New York!

I don't have those things at home.

What sort of holidays do you have, if I may ask?

I'm afraid I'm from- [this is so weird to say] Earth and don't know about other worlds.

The next one should be the New Year's festival! Everyone does it differently. Air Nomads do a lot leading up to it, and then we eat guthuk and khapsay with the family! Those are like...a kind of soup, and a dough-y cookie-y thing.

[Suddenly this sounds really...oriental. Weird. Wonder why.]

It sounds interesting. [And different to how she's been spending New Year's lately. It's interesting that such different worlds still celebrate the turn of the year though.] Can it be made here?

I don't know why not! The grocery store usually has all the stuff we need to make things.

So any food staples necessary to any world can be found there? Are all the things labelled, or is it merely stacked like a storeroom?

Oh, it's like a grocery store. Everything's labelled? And someone is there manning it, I think.
